Clarion Grandhotel Zlaty Lev

Location to the town, the bedroom, breakfast, the hotel personnel were super friendly and helpful. We had originally stayed for one night and left on our motorbike to continue touring around the Czech Rep. We didn't know that within a couple of hours, we would find ourselves back at the Clarion Grand Hotel after a major motorbike breakdown. An explanation with Andreja, Roman, Lenak and other Reception Personnel about our predicament, they allowed us to book a room on a day-to-day basis until we had a greater understanding of our situation. All Clarion Grand Hotel personnel were friendly, helpful and supportive during our 5-day stay until we were repatriated back to the UK. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with a nice view of the old castle opposite and an adjacent park. The breakfast was superb with a fantastic selection of produce on offer. All the Breakfast Staff, Vladimer, a lady (didn't get her name), Ella and others greeted us with a warm smile and asked after our situation. We’ve known it for many years and have seen it from almost post communist to it’s very different modern state. We have had a small suite for the past few years which has been very good. We arrived this year when the temperature was high 30s and discovered the area where most of the suites are situated has no AC. The hotel immediately offered to transfer us - to the biggest suite I have ever seen, and for which we were very grateful

Good and historic hotel in a fine location close to the town center. Check in and check out were very smooth and quick. The breakfast has a great choice of items. The room is clean and comfortable.

My review is based on 14 days in Czechia, staying in  different accommodations every night....Was the stay value for money & would i stay here again and recommend? Definitely YES! Superb in every way possible. Pre arrival help was excellent and I had a lovely room overlooking the part. The cost was exceptionally reasonable with a breakfast you only dream about!

The location is very good - close to the beautiful main square of the city as well as places to eat or shop and opposite a nice park. The interior design is stylish and consistent throughout the hotel. Very good breakfast.
